The recipe for strengthening oil for eyelashes
Preparing a strengthening oil for eyelashes is very simple. As we have seen, the basic ingredient is castor oil, to which we will add a percentage of another vegetable oil, for example, argan oil. In particular, the recipe plans to use:
- 70% castor oil
- 30% argan oil
The first thing to do is get a mascara container: you can recycle that of a finished mascara, but first, you will have to clean it very well.
As an alternative to the recycled container, you can buy a new one online on sites specializing in selling raw materials for DIY cosmetics. To clean the container to be recycled, soak it in hot soapy water for a few hours.
Then rinse the container, using the brush to clean the inside perfectly. Let it dry, and finally, fill it with the reinforcing oil you have prepared.
To take the oils and to pour them into the container, use a small graduated pipette, which you will also use to mix the oils inside the vial.
If you cannot clean the container perfectly, recycle the bottle brush and store the reinforcing oil in a well-cleaned dark glass jar with a stopper. At the moment of use, remove the oil directly with the bottle brush.
It is important to use the brush to apply the eyelash reinforcement oil as contact with the eyes and skin should be avoided to avoid irritation.
For the first two weeks, apply the eyelash strengthening oil every night before going to bed. Then decrease the applications: first one day off and the other no then every two or three days, until you get to the only weekly application. If used consistently, the results will not belong in showing up: Weakened and damaged eyelashes will become stronger and shinier.
Availability and conservation of castor oil
Castor oil can be purchased in herbalists, in the best-stocked supermarkets, or online and has a price that is around five euros per 100 ml of product.
Check the oil label before purchasing it: either Ricinus Communis or Ricinus Communis associated with Tocopherol should appear among the ingredients.
